The sizes in the set are so selected that they ensure checking of micrometers at various radial positions. Thus in addition to the pitch error, errors due to drunken threads also can be located. This set is also recommended by is-2967 of 1964 for inspection of external micrometers. Micrometer Checking Set comprises of the following sizes in grades '0, ' I ' and ' II'. |
